Latavius Murray anchors our Yahoo DFS lineup

Over the last two weeks, we have hit on a lot of our low cost players, but have struck out on some of the top end guys like Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson and DeMarco Murray.

The best part is that we are now headed into Week 3 and have a few game samples to rely on, which is going to make projections that much better. Fortunately for you, I’ve done them and put together the ultimate lineup for Week 3 Yahoo DFS.

Travis Benjamin is not going to score three touchdowns and DeAngelo Williams is back to being irrelevant. Andrew Luck is going to remind people that he is a top three quarterback, and Jeremy Hill won’t have another zero point performance.

Our job is to not only find the players that will bounce back, but to also find the ones that present excellent value at their price. My wife asked me the other day, “Why don’t you just take all the players that offer the most points per dollar spent?” I explained that we would have money left over and that wouldn’t make sense or be efficient. We all wish it were that easy.

I've removed a lot of the risk, and put my faith in players that have a high floor, but also potential for a top 10 performance at their respective positions. Let’s take a look at the lineup that I've created, and figure out why they're there.

Quarterback

Andrew Luck QB, Colts ($43)

Just six short days after we witnessed arguably the worst game of Luck’s short career on national television, we are spending big money to put him in our lineup. He will be playing against the Titans, a divisional “rival” in the AFC South.

Luck was obviously terrible last week, but he is no stranger to multiple turnover games. In 2014, he had five games in which he threw two interceptions. In the five games immediately following those, he threw for 15 touchdowns with just three interceptions.

While some may point to him having multiple interceptions in Week 1, I will remind you that he played a Bills defense that allowed just two top 10 quarterbacks in all of 2014, and then a Jets insane pass rush in Week 2. It also took about six quarters of play for the Colts to realize that Donte Moncrief should be on the field more than Andre Johnson.

Tennessee is just what Luck needs, a team that has allowed four passing touchdowns in their first two games. Did you forget who they played in those games? Jameis Winston and Johnny Manziel. Fire up Luck and expect over 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Noteable mentions: Marcus Mariota ($34), Colin Kaepernick ($30), Cam Newton ($36), Aaron Rodgers ($43)
