Now that the bye week blues of Week 9 are behind us, the most important part of the playoff stretch drive is here. Even with some lineups filled with waiver additions, points came fast and furious in Week 9, and unfortunately, injuries continue to mount.
The bye weeks are nearly over, and fantasy rosters should be starting to take shape. Owners in need of wins to secure a playoff spot will need to remain aggressive on the waiver wire. Others that may have a postseason bid locked up should remain in the free agent hunt for playoff depth.
With more and more key contributors already on rosters, the Week 10 waiver picks will dig a little deeper than usual, but as always, good things come to those willing to do the work necessary to succeed.
Week 10 Byes: Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers
Quarterbacks
Tony Romo, Cowboys (ESPN 42% owned; FAAB 10%) – Here’s a free agent add that won’t pay any dividend this week, but could win you a fantasy championship in six weeks. Romo isn’t eligible to play until Week 11, but being proactive is a key attribute in consistent fantasy winners. The Cowboys are in the midst of a six-game losing streak, but hope remains that Romo can return to salvage the season. Romo is a proven QB1, and adding him to your roster could pay huge dividends down the stretch. If you find yourself rotating quarterbacks, or in need of a quality back-up, don’t be outbid for Romo.
