IDP Lineup Decisions - Week 6
Charles Johnson DL2 vs CIN
Johnson has been one of the most under-performing defensive linemen in all of IDP fantasy football through the first five weeks of the season. Last week he recorded his first sack. He also added a fumble recovery and pass defensed to go along with it.
It’s possible Johnson’s been more banged up than we thought and he’s about to turn a corner as his health improves. Was last week a hint at things to come? Or just a tease amidst a season of disappointment? I can’t be totally sure but I’m rolling with him another week if I drafted him as my starting defensive lineman. If you did the same you probably don’t have much of a choice anyway with all the byes this week.
Everson Griffen DL2 vs DET
Griffin was pretty quiet weeks two through four but got back into the sack column a week ago and is playing at a fairly high level. He’s at least been registering a couple of tackles each week and is a good bet to combine those numbers relatively frequently in future weeks.
This week he faces off with the Lions and Matthew Stafford. It’s a home game and the Vikings should play better with the home crowd providing some noise. Even if they don’t the defense should see plenty of snaps which translates to opportunities for Griffen to rack up points.
