Starting this week, I’ll regularly be looking at several candidates to either buy low or sell high in your dynasty league on the defensive side of the ball. These are players who are moving the needle one way or the other and it’ll be our job to tell you in which direction. If a player appears on the sell side, it’s time to look at what you can get for him before his value drops. On the flip side, if a player appears on the buy side, fish around and try to pick him off for a good price.

Cliff Avril – DL – Seattle Seahawks – Avril signed a two year, $13 million deal with Seattle this off-season to fill the opposite end position of Chris Clemons, and takes over for the combination of Red Bryant and Bruce Irvin with Irvin moving to linebacker. At first glance, while Avril may have lost several millions of dollars by signing his franchise tender with the Lions, it appears Avril upgraded his fantasy stock. He averaged over nine sacks the last three seasons while being plugged in as a starter on one of the best defenses in the league.
