Grades for Dolphins-Bears

Here are the top takeaways from Thursday night’s Dolphins-Bears game, including the highest- graded players for each team:

Dolphins:

–Ryan Tannehill had a perfect accuracy percentage, with his only incompletion coming off of a batted pass.

–Projected starter LB Jelani Jenkins only played 19 snaps with the starters and the first drive with the backups, but in that time he managed three stops which tied for the team high.

–Cornerback Will Davis took a step closer to earning some work with the first team. On four targets, he only allowed two catches for 5 and 11 yards and had a pass defensed.

Top 5 graded players:

DeAndre Coleman (+2.0)

Zach Vigil (+1.9)

Will Davis (+1.5)

Dion Sims (+1.4)

Mike Hull (+1.4)

Bears:

–Edge rusher Jared Allen played in nine snaps on pass plays, and went back into coverage on three of them. It tied his most times going into coverage in a game over these past four seasons.

–When the Bears ran to the left of their right guard, they posted 35 yards on 21 carries. When running to the right of the right guard, they put up 131 yards on 12 carries.

–Defensive end Will Sutton made his case to be part of the defensive line rotation. Not only did he have two tackles for short gains, but also disrupted run plays by getting in the way of the run lane forcing the Dolphins running back elsewhere.

Top 5 graded players:

Cornelius Washington (+2.5)

Will Sutton (+2.4)

Jonathan Anderson (+2.1)

Martellus Bennett (+2.0)

Olsen Pierre (+1.9)
