Fantasy Team Previews - Jacksonville
It was a rough start for head coach Gus Bradley in his first year with the Jags, after the squad lost their first eight games of the season. However, the future isn’t entirely dim, and the Jags managed to go 4-4 following their Week 9 bye.
Fortunately, the Jags have the forth-easiest schedule on paper with their opponents combining for a combined .453 winning percentage last season. Despite the strong schedule, it won’t be easy goings for some of the Jags offensive players. Quarterback (26th), wide receiver (26th), and tight end (27th) all face a potentially tough road, while running back (6th) is much stronger on paper.
Remember, the NFL has a lot of moving parts, so it’s important to not put much stock in the strength of schedule data.
Offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch didn’t have much to work with last season in Jacksonville. The Jags finished as the league’s No. 31 offense, averaging a meager 293.8 total yards per game. Their 15.4 offensive points per game was the league’s lowest average.
