Fantasy starts and sits for Week 9

When we saw the 2015 NFL schedule drop, we knew Week 9 was going to be a bad week for fantasy owners. The six team that are on bye this week are loaded with talented players regularly used to fill fantasy starting lineups.

Since those players are off limits this week, fantasy owners are scrambling to the waiver wire and researching what reserves can be inserted into their lineup this week to recover some of those points.

Because fantasy owners are digging deep on this cruelest of bye weeks, let’s dig deep at some players to consider for our Week 9 start/sit picks.

Start

Quarterbacks

Tyrod Taylor, Bills (vs. Miami) – After missing about a month, Taylor is returning to a favorable game against Miami’s 26th ranked fantasy quarterback defense. Along with Taylor’s healthy return, the Bills are expecting RB Karlos Williams and, more importantly, WR Sammy Watkins to also suit up. Before he got hurt, Taylor was averaging over 24 fantasy points-per-game. Meanwhile, Miami allows 23 fantasy points-per-game to quarterbacks, so look for Taylor to have a solid Week 9 and make a nice bye week replacement.
