Outside of Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots have no fantasy powerhouses, but they do offer owners a slew of solid starters and check in at No. 5 on the 2014 fantasy power rankings.
The Patriots offer fantasy owners 42 more value compared to the average NFL team and 80.5 percent of the value compared to the NFL’s best team.
Let’s start at the top with Tom Brady. Brady was, as you know, not as statistically dominant last season as he had been in year’s past. There’s a number of theories as to why this was the case — the most legitimate of which may be the fact his entire receiving corps changed from 2012. That theory is supported by the fact that as the season progressed, Brady got more in sync with those new options (and old faithful Gronkowski returned from injury for a stretch).
