Cue the Europe, because it’s the final countdown. We’ve reached the fantasy football championship so let’s break down the fantasy football waiver wire for Week 16.
Remember, we cast a wide net every week in our waiver wire advice. Below you’ll see recommendations for shallow, regular, and deep leagues. Players are listed in order of priority and the suggested auction budget percentage is in parentheses.
Keep in mind that some leagues may be more aggressive or conservative in terms of bidding, so know your league tendencies. Regardless of the size of your league, it’s suggested that you work your way down the list and prioritize the top players in your waiver claims for this week.
Shallow leagues (8-10 teams)
Quarterback
Blake Bortles, JAX (50-100%) — He's tied for second among quarterbacks in fantasy scoring over the last three weeks and gets to face the 49ers.
Running back
James White, NE (25-50%) — With Rex Burkhead banged up, White is in store for a larger workload this week.
C.J. Anderson, DEN (25-50%) — It's tough to trust the Broncos offense, but Anderson is cemented as the lead back and is coming of a strong performance in Week 15.
Wide receiver
Martavis Bryant, PIT (50-100%) — Antonio Brown‘s untimely injury makes Bryant this week's top add.
Keelan Cole, JAX (25-50%) — Cole was a surprise monster in Week 15 and should continue to see a healthy workload with Marqise Lee looking like he'll be sidelined this week.
Tight end
Eric Ebron, DET (15-30%) — Ebron had 10 catches in Week 14 and found the end zone last week.
Charles Clay, BUF (15-30%) — Clay finally seems to be himself again, and posted five catches for 68 yards in Week 15.
Regular leagues (12 teams)
Quarterback
Nick Foles, PHI (50-100%) — Foles stepped right into the Eagles offense and tossed four touchdowns. He also gets a plus matchup against Oakland this week.
