It’s Week 14 and that means the fantasy football playoffs are here. There are still a number of upside options on the waiver wire who are worth stashing. Also, don’t forget that there’s no value to holding onto your FAAB money at this time of year. If you have it, spend it.
Remember, we cast a wide net every week in our waiver wire advice. Below you’ll see recommendations for shallow, regular, and deep leagues. Players are listed in order of priority and the suggested auction budget percentage is in parentheses.
Keep in mind that some leagues may be more aggressive or conservative in terms of bidding, so know your league tendencies. Regardless of the size of your league, it’s suggested that you work your way down the list and prioritize the top players in your waiver claims for this week.
Shallow leagues (8-10 teams)
Quarterback
Jameis Winston, TB (20-40%) — Winston returned to the field and was very effective. He's capable of producing QB1 numbers down the stretch.
Josh McCown, NYJ (10-20%) — McCown continues to produce QB1 numbers and is still available in over 60 percent of leagues.
Case Keenum, MIN (10-20%) — Keenum remains the starter in Minnesota and is still widely available in fantasy leagues.
Running back
Kenyan Drake, MIA (50-100%) — Drake exploded against the Broncos and is one of this week's top adds. Expect the heavy workload to continue as long as Damien Williams is sidelined.
Peyton Barber, TB (25-50%) — Barber got the start and topped 100 yards this past week for the Bucs. He’ll be a solid RB2 option if Doug Martin remains sidelined.
Mike Davis, SEA (25-50%) — Davis is now the Seahawks lead back and is worth of RB2 consideration.
Wide receiver
Josh Gordon, CLV (50-100%) — Gordon looked very good in his return game. Spend everything you have on him if he's available.
Marquise Goodwin, SF (15-30%) — Goodwin showed a good connection with Jimmy Garoppolo and offers upside with his big play ability.
Tight end
Stephen Anderson, HST (10-20%) — With C.J. Fiedorowicz out, Anderson saw a massive 12 targets in Week 13.
David Njoku, CLV (10-20%) — The rookie continues to flash major upside for the Browns and has seen his role increase.
Regular leagues (12 teams)
Quarterback
Blake Bortles, JAX (7-10%) — Bortles has put up solid fantasy production over the last two weeks and remains in play as a viable streamer option.
