Another week in the books, and more data to analyze. It’s still early days as far as the season goes, so it’s hard to be ultra-confident that some of the things we are seeing are trends and not anomalies, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some guys out there on your waiver wire who are must-add pickups this week. Let’s look at the waiver wire heading into Week 3 for IDP leagues.
Defensive linemen
DeMarcus Lawrence, Dallas Cowboys
After getting listed in last week’s column, Lawrence doubled down on his two-sack Week 1 performance by following up with more of the same in Week 2. He added seven total tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble to his season stats and has vaulted to the top of the fantasy defensive lineman ranks after the first two weeks of the season. If Lawrence made it through your league’s waiver process after the first week, he won’t do so again, so make your move for him a strong one. He’s clearly the top add on the defensive line, and taking into account the positional scarcity, he is arguably the top pick up full stop this week.
