Week 12 waiver-wire pickups for IDP leagues
With the fantasy playoffs practically upon us, this week’s IDP waiver wire delves that little bit deeper along the defensive in order to find the pickups who can help push your roster into the post-season, showcases a pair of linebackers looking for redemption, while recommending two future DB1 studs who are set to have a serious fantasy impact for the remainder of the season.
Dolphins rookie defensive tackle Godchaux has started two of the last four games, and played over 52 percent of defensive snaps this season, but it’s only been the last month in which he’s started to post some decent fantasy returns. The former LSU Tiger has notched 18 total tackles since Week 8, helping him to rank fifth in points per opportunity in tackle-heavy systems and 14th in balanced scoring, making him a dependable go-to if your team is in need of a high floor plug and play. Godchaux will need to find something extra in the pass-rush department if he’s to become more than a high-floor DL3 option, having generated pressure on just 4.5 percent of his 157 pass-rush snaps, but his consistency over the last month makes him well worth grabbing if you need a D-lineman.
