As always, we’ll start this space by looking back at the DFS stacks we used in the week before. Week 9 was highlighted by our stack of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. Unfortunately, we also added Dez Bryant to the stack. At the time, I wondered if it was worth it to try and find Prescott’s touchdowns and in the process learned two valuable lessons. 1.) In the right matchup, you can stack Prescott and Elliott. 2.) Always go with the naked Prescott stack instead of guessing. We also leaned on the Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and Ty Montgomery stack on DraftKings. It returned value but didn’t pop off. Of course, rolling with a Ben Roethlisberger stack was looking like it could be devastating before he saved in the day in garbage time. If you look back at his FanDuel price, you’ll see the obvious value he was able to accrue with those garbage-time stats.
Now, let’s jump into the Week 10 action. This week is an interesting slate and we are going to roll with a couple very cheap stacks and avoid all of the high-priced quarterbacks.
FanDuel
Ben Roethlisberger, QB; Antonio Brown and Sammie Coates, WRs (Steelers vs. Cowboys)
We’re going back to the well with the Steelers stack. This time, you can feel more confident for a few reasons. The first, and most obvious reason, is that Roethlisberger is back at home for this game. In home games in 2016, Roethlisberger has a 12:2 touchdown to interception, compared to a 5:5 ratio in road games. He has also completed 67.6 vs. 58.1 percent of his passes. These splits date back throughout Roethlisberger’s career. He has a 165:69 TD:INT ratio at home throughout his career and a 124:85 ratio on the road.
