The best DFS plays for the Thursday and Friday preseason slates

Week 1 of the preseason is in the books and attacking Week 2 does not call for a major adjustment to our approach. The road to fantasy points remains paved with snaps and touches. While opportunity needs to be balanced with efficiency, many starters remain safely on the sideline or will quickly find themselves there during the second quarter.

Below are some DFS picks for both Thursday’s six-game and Friday’s three-game preseason slates.

Quarterbacks

Jimmy Garoppolo, New England Patriots: Garoppolo’s 70 snaps led all quarterbacks last year during New England’s second preseason game. He completed 85 percent of his throws for 269 yards and a score. The Patriots are in a similar position, with Tom Brady set to be suspended. Garoppolo played a full half last week, settling down after an uneven start, and now he takes on a vulnerable Bears secondary.
