Fantasy football team power rankings: 12-9
We’re closing in on some of the best NFL teams in terms of what they offer fantasy football players, and today we’re revealing teams Nos. 12-9 on the 2016 fantasy football power rankings.
These rankings are based on our own 2016 player projections. The series assumes a 12-team PPR league with a starting lineup of one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end and one flex position. Kickers and D/STs are not accounted for.

No. 12: New York Jets
Led by strong wideouts Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, the New York Jets check in at No. 12 on the power rankings. They made big strides in the rankings this season, as they were No. 28 last year and No. 31 in 2014.
The Jets offer fantasy owners 10 percent more value than the average NFL team. They offer only backups at the quarterback and tight end positions, but they boast the No. 5 fantasy receiving group and the No. 10 fantasy backfield.
Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick re-signed with the Jets before camps opened, and while he’s not an elite fantasy player, he’s certainly relevant. He finished last year as the No. 11 quarterback after tossing 31 touchdowns. Fitzpatrick is more of a mid-tier QB2 — or high-end backup — but he proved last year that he’s more than capable of holding his own in fantasy. We just wouldn’t rely on him every week.
