Super Bowl LII has arrived, and this weekend provides us with our last chance of NFL DFS until August.
Believe it or not, you can actually win $1 million on both FanDuel and DraftKings this weekend with their single-game formats.
Let’s do this.
With shorter slates, I personally eschew cash games and only play in tournaments. This article is more of a general guide, but I did want to make note of that bias before moving on.
Quarterbacks
The new single-game formats allow you to play both Tom Brady and Nick Foles this weekend.
Foles will be much lower owned, which does make him an intriguing dart throw in this GPP format. If you miss on one of these slots with an expensive player like Foles, though, you’ll have a hard time even cashing. Foles is a win-or-don’t-cash kind of play this week, with 25-plus DraftKings points in two of his past four, and fewer than 10 in the other two.
Brady deserves to be the highest-owned player of the game, with both the highest floor and the highest ceiling. Salary isn’t a huge concern on this slate, so getting up to Brady isn’t overly difficult. This will only serve to inflate his ownership, though. He’s a safe play, but with a one-game slate, if you’re looking to take down a GPP, you can’t go all safe.
Paying up for both quarterbacks won’t be all that popular of an option this weekend, which could be another nice way to differentiate lineups and reap the benefits if this game turns into a shootout. This game does have a high over-under of 48, and the game is expected to remain within a touchdown.
