The best defenses to stream in fantasy in Week 7
Streaming defenses has worked out pretty well this year, as there have been trends developing, leading us to the best plays. The Bills and the Titans led the way last week, while the Lions were essentially a no-show against the Rams at home.
Week 7 is about as tricky as it gets, though, as most of the good defensive plays are teams who are owned in over 60 percent of leagues. Here in the streamers article, our goal is to give you a defense that you’re able to pick up in most leagues, making it difficult at times. If you’ve been here the last few weeks, you would have likely rostered the Bills, who are a fantastic option in Week 7. But now that they’re owned in a majority of leagues, let’s take a look at some defenses to consider.
Cincinnati Bengals (vs. Browns)
It hasn’t been the defense that most people thought they were getting when they drafted the Bengals, and that’s why you’re finding them on a whole lot of waiver wires. But have no fear; the Browns are coming to town. Through six weeks, the Browns have allowed three or more sacks in four of their games, and almost all of that was before losing their starting left guard Joel Bitonio for the season. He was graded as our eighth-best guard in all of football before going down. Last week was the first one without him, and they allowed the Titans to get into the backfield for six sacks. On top of that, they had allowed their opponent to have at least one turnover in each of their first five games. Sure, the Bengals haven’t been the top-five defense they were last year, but since getting Vontaze Burfict back, they have sacked the opposing quarterback nine times in the last three weeks. As a home favorite, you couldn’t ask for more out of a streamer.
