Start/sit advice for Week 10 in IDP leagues
By this point of the season our matchup data is becoming much more dependable as our sample size continues to build. Anomalous weeks and scores are increasingly minimized and true trends in the data begin to develop. On that basis, I’m leaning on our Week 10 positional matchup data for this week’s IDP start/sit advice, but you should also be sure to check our projected team tackle totals to identify which games are going to benefit or suffer from the more tackle-friendly (or tackle-averse) stat crews. With all that being said, we can all do with a bit of luck now and again, so with fantasy playoff spots being finalised over the next few weeks, I hope your continuing to make smart, data-based plays, and you get the rub of the green on game day.
Start: Jason Pierre-Paul and Olivier Vernon, New York Giants
The Giants’ big-money pairing of pass-rushers have failed to deliver sacks this season, combining for just 2.5 between them, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. Both players rank inside the top 11 of overall grade (for 4-3 ends), and top 20 for pass-rush grades, while also both sitting inside the top 10 for quarterback hits, and second and third for quarterback hurries. Well, Week 10 offers the duo the opportunity to make amends against the league’s No. 1 matchup for defensive lineman, and this pushes them both into the DL1 tier this week.
