Welcome to the Week 12 edition of Snaps, Pace, & Stats, where we examine trends in snap totals and no-huddle usage. It is meant to be a 30,000-foot view of upcoming games, with the goal of identifying which matchups will – and which will not – be played on fertile fantasy soil.

(For brevity’s sake, all references to pass or run rates/percentages are in terms of neutral game situations. Unless otherwise stated, we will reference one-score situations (plus/minus seven points) to get a truer representation of game plan.)

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers

The not-your-older-brother’s Seahawks have allowed the 10th-most points per game during the last month, including 34 on Monday night to a Falcons team that had been averaging 21.9. They throw 60.2-percent of the time (seventh-highest) and are thrown on at the seventh-highest rate (59.3 percent). Seattle operates at the seventh-quickest seconds-per-snap pace, and their games average the third-most combined snaps. With injuries to a once-vaunted secondary, plus health and effectiveness issues with the running game and offensive line, there is little reason to expect the Seahawks’ profile to revert as long as Russell Wilson remains upright (knocks on wood).
