The fantasy football playoffs are in full swing and you have final lineup decisions to make. I’m here to help. Below, I’ll take a look at 10 close calls for Week 15. These players are likely fringe starters currently on your bench or in your lineups. Some of these players have been every-week starters for you — until now. Others have been on your bench or even the waiver wire, but they now have the perfect matchup to exploit.
Last week, we made the bold call to bench Marcus Mariota after he entered Week 14 as the top-scoring QB over the past month. That’s called playing the matchups and it worked in our favor. This week, we’ll look to find the best and worst matchups and exploit them to our benefit.
As always, I’m here to help on Twitter as well. Send any start/sit decisions or players you want help with to @DanSchneierNFL and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Let’s get after it and advance to the next round of the playoffs — the finals for most of you — by making the tough calls.
Start
Tyrod Taylor, QB, Bills (vs. Browns)
As we look for potential streamers at the QB position, it’s hard to not lock right on to whoever is playing the Browns. That move is a little trickier this week, however, with the Browns traveling to Buffalo to play the Bills. There could be snow, there could be wind, but if you’re facing a tough matchup with the players rostered at QB, turn to Taylor with confidence. The Browns simply cannot put a plug in the production of the opposing quarterback. It only took Andy Dalton 28 passing attempts to rack up nearly 17 fantasy points without A.J. Green in Week 15. This is the floor for opposing quarterbacks.
