Even the experts struggle. Nine weeks into the NFL (and therefore, fantasy football) season, there are certainly some of the smartest fantasy players in season-long leagues scuffling along with records that are 3-6, 2-7, 1-8. Maybe it’s injury, or luck, or stars aligning against you, but it’s true that a bad record does not, ipso facto, mean a bad fantasy owner.
That’s a big part of the reason why daily fantasy has proliferated. People play the game for all sorts of reasons, but one of them is that it keeps making fantasy fun and interesting long after a ruined season-long team is out of it.
