Week 9 optimal FanDuel lineup: Use Luck's hot streak

Over the last two weeks, I’ve had classic #DFSProblems

In Week 7, I optimized a lineup around fill-in running backs, but then LeSean McCoy was a surprise starter and it threw my lineup into a frenzy. In Week 8, all of my players left the game for at least some time with an injury. Julio Jones, T.Y. Hilton, Spencer Ware, etc. That happens sometimes. None of our algorithms or collections of stats can predict a random injury.

And yet Week 9 is a new beginning. Here’s our best FanDuel lineup for the week.

QB: Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts ($8,000)

The over/under for this game against the Packers is set at 54. You have to love that. Luck has scored two or more touchdowns in six games so far this season, and in all of his last five games. He’s also thrown for more than 300 yards four times this year. Frank Gore is going to have a difficult time running the ball against the Packers — only Ezekiel Elliott has run for over 100 total yards against Green Bay this year.
