Metrics that Matter: Putting numbers in a fantasy context
Fantasy football is all about numbers. Yards and touchdowns and fantasy points are the main ones, of course, but then everything about football is numbers. Yards per carry, elusiveness, points per… You could spend a month in the numbers and not learn them all.
PFF Senior Fantasy Analyst Scott Barrett does that. He has so many spreadsheets that he destroyed a laptop. And he can put them in context.
That’s his Metrics that Matter series. All offseason, he’s picked out a key stat or stats and explained the meaning as it applies to fantasy players. It’s a strong helper come fantasy draft day and with making in-season and DFS decisions.
