Fantasy facts to know for the Divisional Round

Wild Card weekend is in the books, but it’s now time for the best weekend in football — the Divisional Round. The big offenses were lying in wait, and players from the Chiefs, Saints, Rams, and Patriots now re-enter the fantasy arena.

Here are some of the best stats to know for the 2018 Divisional Round.

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs

• Patrick Mahomes just completed the greatest fantasy quarterback season of all-time. He was just the second quarterback ever to top 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns in a season, and he added another 272 rushing yards and two scores in the ground.

• Travis Kelce gained 2.34 yards per route run, second-most among all tight ends this year and 11th-most among all players. One of the players ahead of him was Tyreek Hill (2.54, tied for fourth).
• Over the final three weeks of the season, Damien Williams scored the second-most fantasy points among all running backs. He averaged 16 touches per game with 107 total yards and 1.3 touchdowns per game.
• Over the final two weeks of the season — plus the Wild Card Round — Dontrelle Inman ranks fourth in Indianapolis in targets (15) but third in air yards (175). He also has three touchdowns while every other Colts player combined has four.
• Over his last four games, Marlon Mack is averaging 22.5 DraftKings points per game. This season, the Kansas City Chiefs have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to enemy running backs.

Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams

• Since Dallas’ Week 8 bye (nine games for Ezekiel Elliott), Elliott is averaging over 29 touches per game. That’s a 465-touch season-long pace. That would rank second all-time and most since 1984.
  
• Amari Cooper has had glaring home/road splits as a Cowboys, averaging a 7-109-1 at home versus 4.5-43.5-0 on the road.
• From Weeks 2-16, Robert Woods had at least four receptions and at least 60 receiving yards in every game.
• From Weeks 11-17 (six games for the Rams), with Cooper Kupp out of the lineup, Josh Reynolds is averaging 6.8 targets per game. He has also scored three times in that span. On the season, 27% of Reynolds’ targets came in the end zone.
• Jared Goff is another player with big home/road splits. In eight home games this year, Goff averaged 342 passing yards (!) and 2.75 passing touchdowns per game versus 244 yards and 1.25 touchdowns per game on the road.

Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots

• Tom Brady had back-to-back bad games in Week 15-16, but he had huge Week 14 (358 yards and three scores) and Week 17 (250 yards and four touchdowns) performances, dropping at least 26 DraftKings points in each game. He’s the fifth-most-expensive DK quarterback this weekend.
• Sony Michel at home: 90.8 yards per game and 0.83 touchdowns per game. Michel on the road: 55.1 yards per game and 0.14 touchdowns per game. He scored more than 2x more fantasy points at home this year.
• Julian Edelman averaged 8.75 targets per game this year. His 105 targets since Week 5 (his first game of the year) ranked seventh in the NFL.
• Melvin Gordon had 18 total touches last week (17 rushing attempts, 1 reception) — his most since Week 11.
• After throwing for at least two scores every Week from Week 1-13, Philip Rivers has just one multi-touchdown game over his last five.

Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints

• Drew Brees had drastic home/road splits once again in 2018. He averaged 321.6 yards and three touchdowns per game at home versus just 217.6 yards and 1.4 touchdowns per game on the road.
  
• Michael Thomas also had big home/road splits, as he averaged 8.5 receptions, 102.8 yards, and 0.75 touchdowns per game at home versus 7.1-73-0.38 on the road.
• The Eagles allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season, while the Saints allowed the second-most.
• Golden Tate had eight targets last week, which tied Alshon Jeffery for Philadelphia’s team lead. In fact, since Week 11, his 47 targets are tied with Jeffery for second on the team (Zach Ertz leads with 62).
• The Saints gave up the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Quarterbacks facing the Saints in New Orleans averaged 314 yards and nearly two touchdowns per game.
