Welcome to the Week 13 DraftKings Tournament Guide! This Guaranteed Prize Pool overview covers the main slate on DraftKings and how to approach the week in fantasy football with roster-building strategies, games to target, and cheap salary-saving dart throws that could reach their ceilings this week. Let’s get right into Week 13 and analyze how we should be approaching the main slate for tournaments this week.

Roster-building strategies

Scoop that tantalizing RB value

Week 13 provides us plenty of running backs at our disposal in the mid-priced range. I’ll continue to pay up for backs in cash games, but we have the luxury of spending elsewhere given all the value at running back this week.

We’ll start with the obvious. Phillip Lindsay and Aaron Jones are two backs who should be heavily rostered come Sunday. Lindsay is in an ideal matchup against the Bengals who have struggled as of late defending opposing backs. Nick Chubb (27.8 DK points), Gus Edwards (22.5), Mark Ingram (28.2), and Alvin Kamara (26.2) have had their way both on the ground and through the air against the Bengals defense. Jones is a 14-point home favorite against a visiting Cardinals squad that has allowed the second-most rushing yards in the league to opposing backs and the most rushing touchdowns.

The next tier of value running backs for us to look at includes Edwards and Matt Breida. These two have had secure volume in recent weeks and draw quality matchups as well. Over the past two weeks, Edwards ranks fourth in the league in rushing (233 yards) while sporting a no-nonsense 4.1 yards after contact per attempt during that span. He’s getting the yards in front of him (and then some) with his north-south running and making for a fantastic combination with Lamar Jackson. Breida has taken over lead back duties in San Francisco and is coming off back-to-back 100-yard rushing outings. Seattle just allowed multi-purpose back Christian McCaffrey to net 50-plus DK points on them last week as he reached the century mark both rushing and receiving and scoring two times.

We can also dive down into the salary-saving bin for a few plays like Lamar Miller, Chris Carson, and Jalen Richard if needed. The point is that there are plenty of running backs for us to use on a full 13-game slate. I’m not going to fault anyone who wants to lock in CMC again this week, but there’s plenty of value to supplement him at the running back position.
