As you look to set your Week 2 DFS lineups, you’re going to have a handful of player you love — including bargain players and locks — but there should also be some players you avoid as well.
With that in mind, here’s a list of players I’m fading in DFS this week in at least one format (cash games or tournaments). As usual, for the most part, these are player I’m fading in both formats. If there’s an exception to that — I’ll call it out.
(Note: I’m providing only DraftKings and FanDuel salaries as I live in Florida, where Yahoo does not operate.)
Quarterback
Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts (DraftKings: $7,700; FanDuel: $8,500)
Andrew Luck appears to be back to his old self, and he’s fresh off a performance as the No. 1 quarterback in DFS. So why fade him? He has two things working against him this week: He’s expensive — Luck is the fourth-highest-priced quarterback on both DraftKings and FanDuel — and he’s playing against the Denver Broncos defense, who are still excellent against the pass. They held Cam Newton to just 194 passing yards in Week 1, the 25th-most, and just one passing score.
