Week 6 DFS Locks of the Week: Invest in the Seahawks

Looking back at the week that was in Week 5, a lot of the DFS chalk hit, making it a must to nail your high-salary players. Fortunately, the cheap options in last week’s Locks of the Week allowed you to play quite a few high-dollar options.

The goal of this article is to give you a good idea of who to build your DFS lineups around, while spending as little money as possible, but taking on minimal risk. If you’ve been here before, you already know that we don’t talk about guys who are priced top-five at their position, because that would be too easy. Here, you will get two quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers, as well as one tight end to play in lineups. Let’s take a look at which players you should be looking at in Week 6.

Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks (vs. Falcons)

While most teams would rather have their bye later in the season, it couldn’t have come at a better time for Wilson and the Seahawks. After dealing with injuries to both of his legs, Wilson looked like he was getting better as the bye came, throwing three touchdowns against the Jets on just 32 attempts. The Jets weren’t the toughest test, and his Week 6 opponent, the Falcons, aren’t either. Through five games, the Falcons have allowed at least 281 yards passing and three or more passing touchdowns in four of them, and the lone game that they didn’t was against rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch last week. What all of that amounts to is 22.4 fantasy points per game for quarterbacks facing the Falcons, the second-most in the NFL. On top that, Wilson was able to get healthier, so was his No. 2 wide receiver Tyler Lockett and rejuvenated tight end Jimmy Graham. Wilson has great appeal in cash games, and if the Falcons can put up 75 percent of the points they’ve been, he has tournament upside as well.
