Week 17 DFS Locks of the Week
There seem to be a lot of question marks surrounding players this week, right? Of course, it’s Week 17, the one vacated by most fantasy players. But should you abandon DFS because of all the question marks? To put it simply, no. If anything, it’s a week that should pay you large dividends if you do your research.
Ok, I get it, you’ve come here to find out which players should be in your lineups, and that is precisely what you will find. As usual, you’ll get two quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers, and one tight end that should be over-weighted in your DFS lineups. And they are not obvious players like Julio Jones against the Saints. Instead, they are players who are not priced among the elite at their position, leaving you room to choose which studs (like Jones) you put into your lineup to compliment them. Pair this with Wednesday’s fades of the week, and you should be in for a profitable week.
Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks (at 49ers)
There are just a few teams in the league who still have something to play for, and the Seahawks are one of them. Their game also happens to be against the worst defense in the league. The 49ers have been a stomping ground all season and have recently loss slot cornerback Jimmie Ward to IR. What makes that so significant is because that is where Doug Baldwin lines up on 75 percent of his snaps. That is the matchup that they will look to exploit as they did last week against the Cardinals, who were without their top two slot cornerbacks in Tyrann Mathieu and Tyvon Branch. Wilson ended that game with 350 yards passing and four touchdowns, with 171 of those yards and one touchdown going to Baldwin. The replacement for Ward is Keith Reaser, a fifth-round pick from 2014 who has allowed almost 10 yards per target in his coverage and is allowing one touchdown every eight targets.
