Last week’s GPPs were largely won with Chiefs-Jets game stacks. In fact, both DraftKings’ Millionaire Maker and FanDuel’s Sunday Million were spearheaded by Alex SmithTyreek HillTravis Kelce stacks. We highlighted Kelce as a great tournament option, and we learned just prior to kickoff that OC Matt Nagy would be taking over playcalling duties. It’ll be interesting to see how this Chiefs offense looks moving forward, beginning with this week’s matchup against the Raiders. Let’s dive into the slate and take a look at which plays are strong tournament options for DraftKings in Week 14.

Quarterback

There’s a lot of flexibility for us at the quarterback position this week. I think it’s going to create some very interesting tournament lineups and it will really depend if you’re MME (mass multi-entering) contests or playing single-entry in how you want to approach it.

The one locked-in stud I’ll be heavily exposed to is Philip Rivers ($6,800). Rivers is the second-highest-priced quarterback on the main slate, so while I’d like to think he may go somewhat under-owned, he’s tied for the fourth-most-tagged quarterback on FanShareSports. Rivers benefits from a home matchup taking on a travelling Washington team with the Chargers as current six-point favorites. Rivers has been on fire lately. He’s thrown for multiple touchdowns in four of his last six, with just two interceptions during that span. He’s thrown 30-plus pass attempts in each one of these outings. Washington is no stranger to allowing big fantasy outings to opposing quarterbacks. They’ve allowed over 25 DK points five times this season, and are giving up the seventh-most FPs on the year to the position. The way to attack Washington is through the middle of the field and that just so happens to coincide with where his best receiver — Keenan Allen — runs the plurality of his routes. Love this Rivers-Allen stack for GPPs given all the savings we have in Week 14.

While I missed the Alex Smith ($6,500) train last week, I’m going after it in Week 14. Given the matchup — at home as four-point favorites against Oakland — I’m not considering it chasing given how poorly the Raiders pass defense has been this season. Oakland ranks bottom-12 in most passing yards and passing touchdowns allowed by opposing quarterbacks, while yielding a whopping 108.2 passer rating to opposing signal-callers. Smith is coming off the heels of a 300-plus yard, 4-TD outing looking in a fine groove with OC Nagy calling the shots. The last time these two teams played, Smith put up 28.68 points in a shootout in Oakland. Smith makes for a strong tournament option this week.
