Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.
High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the writeup, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.

Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons
Ryan is one of the cheapest starting quarterbacks on FD this week, and although you don’t get the same kind of break on DK, he remains a bargain on both sites. The Falcons showed some signs of getting their passing game going in Week 8 (two passing touchdowns) and that should continue against the Panthers in Week 9. The Carolina defense has improved this season, but it’s not much different from the unit Ryan carved them up for 780 passing yards and six touchdowns in two games last season. Ownership will likely be lower on DK, but Ryan is a must-start in FD cash games.
Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints
The Buccaneers run defense is collapsing just as fast as their pass defense. They now rank No. 26 overall in our run defense and they have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Game script should be in Ingram’s favor against a Buccaneers team who has lost their offensive identity. Ingram is not a bargain in the traditional sense, but he has RB1 overall (in Week 9) upside and he’s priced as a mid-tier RB1 on both sites.
