The top DFS bargains for Week 7

Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.

High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the writeup, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.

(Unless otherwise specified, these suggests are for both FanDuel and DraftKings.)

Tyrod Taylor, QB, Buffalo Bills

Taylor is the easiest value play at the quarterback position and any position on the Week 7 slate. For starters, the matchup is amazing. The Buccaneers allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and they have dropped to No. 31 in our overall pass coverage. With Jameis Winston likely out, Taylor and the Bills should crush time of possession, and after their own bye week, they can take advantage of the Buccaneers’ banged up defense. Taylor is just the 25th-most-expensive QB on DK and the 21st-most-expensive on FD.

Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals began featuring Mixon after Bill Lazor took over as offensive coordinator and that trend should continue in an even greater direction after the bye week. Mixon will start to see more favorable looks both in the run and pass game. There’s no better week to get it started than against a Steelers defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs and currently ranks No. 27 in our overall run defense. Mixon is a bargain on both sites, but his DK price tag makes little to no sense given his recent volume uptick. Mixon is just $5,000 on DK and a must-play.
