The 2018 season is underway for both the NFL and fantasy football and we are here to sift through the Weeks 1 and 2 overreactions and deliver you the best bargain plays in daily fantasy football for Week 3. With fewer injuries projecting guaranteed volume for backups, it is harder than in recent weeks to find glaring free spots, but our goal is to find the best possible values per dollar that we can.

Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.

High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the writeup, so they should be used in cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.

Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami Dolphins

Jon Gruden’s decision to trade Khalil Mack has backfired hard through the first two weeks, as the Raiders rank dead last in our pass-rush grades. Tannehill has quietly strung together two solid weeks and he is arguably the top value on the slate in his best matchup yet at a borderline QB3 price — among the lowest among the starters at his position — on both DK and FD.

Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

The Panthers’ pass defense is simply not generating pressure on a consistent basis. Although Dak Prescott and the Cowboys’ passing game was not capable of making them pay for it in Week 1, Matt Ryan and the Falcons did in Week 2. Next up is Dalton, who has a history of performing poorly under pressure but mostly efficiently otherwise. The Carolina pass rush ranks No. 29.
