Finding bargains and values in DFS is the key to any winning roster, both in cash games and tournaments. Our goal today is to find you the best bargains for your cash games and tournaments. We will specify what games to use each bargain in and how to capitalize on them in each given week.
High ownership is to be expected from some of these bargains, and we will touch in that in the writeup, so they should be used in Cash games. However, some of these players are also excellent buys for tournaments and won’t have high ownership percentages. Generally speaking, quarterback is the one position where ownership tends to be spread out the most — in other words feel free using these bargains both in tournaments and cash games.
(Remember, DraftKings and FanDuel prices will occasionally differ substantially because DK offers a $50,000 budget while FD offers $60,000.)
Quarterbacks
Philip Rivers, Los Angeles Chargers
(DraftKings, $5,800)
Jared Goff was one of our top bargain quarterbacks in Week 1 and Rivers holds that title in Week 2. Rivers, who threw for three touchdowns in Week 1, saw a noticeable improvement from the Chargers’ rebuilt offensive line in Week 1 despite matching up against the Broncos front. He gets a break in Week 2 at home against the Dolphins and should return excellent value against a secondary that struggled in 2016 and didn’t add any premier cornerbacks this offseason.
