This is the weird time of year. Some teams are desperately seeking wins to make the playoffs and/or to solidify seeding. But considering the brutality of the game of football, this late in the season also sometimes features guys you wouldn't ever expect to be relevant. Bryce Petty is likely starting in Week 15. Nick Foles as well.

So let's look back a year at Week 15 of 2016. Top-10 fantasy quarterbacks that week included Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, and Cam Newton … but also Matt Moore, Robert Griffin III, and Matt Barkley. Ezekiel Elliott and David Johnson were top-10 running backs … and so were Robert Turbin and Tim Hightower. Eli Rogers and Odell Beckham Jr. Dion Sims and Kyle Rudolph.

Yes, every week in football has surprise names offering surprise performances. But the later you get in the season, the weirder some of these situations can get. So keep an eye on our whole load of fantasy strategy and advice we offer up on a weekly basis. All week long, we'll have more tips and plays on the site, and they'll all land here.
