The tight end position can be one of the most frustrating spots you have to fill on your fantasy roster. Week-to-week consistency is historically hard to come by. Last season it felt like the position was the deepest it had been in some time, but looking forward it’s getting harder to believe some of those same top players will once again be able to produce at a high level.
Here are some players I think are going off the boards way too high, according to their ADP at FantasyFootballCalculator.com.
Tyler Eifert, Cincinnati Bengals (current ADP: 59, No. 4 TE)
Last season, Tyler Eifert helped many fantasy owners win their championship. Even though he missed three games, he still put up 52 catches for 615 yards and a league-high 13 touchdowns.
Unfortunately, it’s difficult to replicate that kind of production in the end zone. Since 2010, only four tight ends have more than one double-digit touchdowns season under their belts: Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham, Julius Thomas and Antonio Gates.
