Diggs still offers strong DFS value

With all of the major upsets in Week 10, our picks only had a few noteworthy hits. Kirk Cousins finished first among quarterbacks in fantasy scoring. Jordan Reed finished third among tight ends. The majority of the other picks exceeded their value, but didn’t make any big splashes. I have a feeling we’ll right the ship this week.

After sorting through this week’s price sheets, I’ve found some valuable players for our Week 11 rosters. As I have done every week, I used my prediction models—which I’ve written about in the past—to find the players with the most value at each position on all three major DFS sites. I also accounted for injuries and matchups when I made my picks.

Most of the well-known fantasy studs and superstars have been excluded. Even though I think many of them have a lot of value this week, I don’t think it’s necessary to explain why.

Now, lets dive into some of my most value picks for Week 11. I’ve included many of the players’ projected floor and ceiling scores (PPR). They give us clear indication of who has good GPP potential (high ceiling), and who should be used primarily in cash games (high floor). The prices listed below each player are the ones I consider to be a good values this week.

Quarterbacks

Alex Smith at San Diego – DK: $5,000, FD: $6,200, Yahoo: $29

Smith’s fantasy points per drop back (0.62) for the past three weeks was fourth among quarterbacks. He accomplished this primarily by rushing for 56 yards per game, the most by any quarterback during that time. Considering his reputation of being just a game manager, his consistent ground production gives him sneaky week-to-week fantasy value.

He has a nice matchup this week, as the Chargers defense has given up the fourth-most points per game (27.7) this season. It’s rated last in the league against the run (-52.1) and overall (-91.5). Smith’s floor is 10 points, and his ceiling is 28 this week. He is a great cash-game value play.
