Chad Kelly tops list of contrarian CFB DFS Plays
For all intents and purposes, this is the last time you’ll see some of 2015’s biggest names in DFS games, at least for the remainder of this college football season. While Derrick Henry or Connor Cook might show up in a championship DFS game next week, the majority of this year’s best players will headline this Championship slate of daily fantasy games. Make sure you pick with your brain and not your heart if you want to finish the season on a winning note.
Bowl games are tricky because coaches have spent weeks game planning for one game. Sometimes that means they are putting in a few trick plays, which doesn’t help DFS players much, but other times it’s scrutinizing over the opponent’s weakness and figuring out how to exploit it. Last week, Washington figured out there were holes in the Southern Mississippi rush defense, and exploited that with RB Myles Gaskin exploding for 181 yards and four touchdowns.
With the exception of the Florida-Michigan game, which should produce less scoring than a soccer match, most of the heavy hitters are featured in this slate of games on both DraftKings and FanDuel. FanDuel has all of the games ranging from Tuesday’s Russell Athletic Bowl to Saturday’s Cactus Bowl. I’ll focus on games that will be featured on both sites in this piece, but there is plenty of value in the early and late bowl games on FanDuel as well as the big games on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
