Baldwin and Brees game-time decisions in Week 16
Heading into kickoff time, a few fantasy relevant players remain to be game-time decisions. They include: Doug Baldwin, Danny Amendola, Drew Brees, and Ben Watson.
As a reminder, there are five status designations players can have: active, probable, questionable, doubtful and out. The active and out designations are self-explanatory. The probable designation signifies a player has a greater than 50 percent chance of being active for the game. Questionable means the player essentially has a 50-50 chance of playing. Doubtful means the player has less than a 25 percent chance of playing.
Note: Below, if I refer to an injury that I’ve previously described in detail, I’ll provide a link to that past article.
Players already declared out include: Andrew Luck, Marcus Mariota, Tony Romo, Peyton Manning, Shaun Draughn, Jonathan Stewart, Tevin Coleman, LeSean McCoy, Marshawn Lynch, Cecil Shorts, Dez Bryant, Vincent Jackson, Marlon Brown, Tyler Eifert, and Charles Clay.
Players listed as doubtful who aren’t expected to play: T.J. Yeldon, Julian Edelman, and Alshon Jeffery.
Players listed as questionable who will likely see close to their usual workloads include: Calvin Johnson.
Players listed as probable who will likely see their usual workloads include: Sam Bradford, Matthew Hasselbeck, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Geno Smith, Carson Palmer, Denard Robinson, Lamar Miller, Alfred Blue, Chris Polk, Spencer Ware, Jerick McKinnon, Anthony Dixon, Karlos Williams, Eddie Lacy, DeSean Jackson, Bryan Walters, Allen Hurns, Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, Kendall Wright, DeAnthony Thomas, Torrey Smith, Charles Johnson, Ted Ginn, Jermaine Kearse, Jordan Reed, Kellen Davis, Travis Kelce, and Jason Witten.
These players’ injury situations warrant a closer look this morning:
Brian Hoyer has yet to be cleared to play by an independent neurologist, so he’s still in the NFL concussion protocol. He’s not officially listed as out, but isn’t expected to play. Brandon Weeden will get the start today.
