Many top-tier fantasy players went down with injuries on Sunday. The team hit the hardest was the Ravens. They lost both Joe Flacco and Justin Forsett for the rest of the season. I’ll cover these stories and all of the other fantasy-relevant injuries you need to know heading into Week 12. As with every week, this article will be updated throughout the week as more is known regarding these injuries.
Quarterbacks
Andrew Luck is healing up from an abdominal tear, fractured rib, and lacerated kidney. The Colts initial timetable for his return was 2-6 weeks—which was overly optimistic.
Luck didn’t require surgery to treat his kidney laceration, so that left the door open for a quicker return. However, these injuries take at least six weeks to heal.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network recently reported that the Colts now expect Luck to return in mid December. That timetable seems more reasonable to me. I think mid December is the soonest we would see Luck return. It may even take a week or two longer than that.
