Fallout from Injuries to Dalton, Eifert, and Rawls

Many top-tier fantasy players went down with injuries on Sunday. I’ll cover all of the other fantasy-relevant injuries you need to know heading into Week 15. As with every week, this article will be updated throughout the week as more is known regarding these injuries.

Note: Below, if I refer to an injury that I’ve previously described in detail, I’ll provide a link to that past article.

Quarterbacks

Andrew Luck is recovering from an abdominal strain, rib injury, and kidney laceration. His most-realistic timetable for return has been 6-8 weeks. He appears to be on track to return within that time. There’s a good chance he’ll be back for this week’s game.

I expect he’ll have a CT scan early this week to evaluate his kidney. If the laceration is fully healed at that time, he’ll be cleared to return to play. Watch out for those reports on Wednesday. Matt Hasselbeck left Sunday’s game early with a rib injury, so the Colts desperately need Luck back. Otherwise, they’ll be forced to start Charlie Whitehurst under center.
