Dynasty Stock Market – Week 9
One of the most difficult tasks in fantasy is maintaining a view of the broader picture when you are blinded by the specifics of your own teams. You can have success by making marginal improvements via the waiver wire, but without an updated handle of the market, it is difficult to find the creativity to execute the complicated trades that can provide more than a patchwork fix for your holes. I think that, for most owners, the reservation is due to the lack of appropriate resources rather than a lack of creativity. With injuries and byes cutting into an already-small sample, you do not want to put too much stock into a handful of games, but the full-season data from 2011 is hopelessly out of date. I prefer to blend the two and look at a yearly summary from the second half of last season and the first half of this one.
