Here is the PFF draft profile for Louisiana Tech running back Kenneth Dixon, which incorporates PFF’s college grades and scouting intel from our team of analysts.

Position rank: Top 10
Overall rank: Top 150

Position fit:

Running back, more of a change-of-pace back who can contribute in the passing game.

Stats to know:

No. 18 overall grade among running backs in the nation, sixth in the draft class. No. 5 receiving grade in nation, second in draft class. Elusive rating of 99.2 ranked 15th in nation, second in the draft class.

What he does best:

• Outstanding in space, will make defenders miss with exceptional quick cuts.
• Patient, let’s plays develop. Similar hop step to Le’Veon Bell when reading blocks.
• Has speed to get to the edge, showed this often when running outside zone.
• Has the vision and quickness to turn a bad run fit by the defense into a big play.
• Very quick to hit cutback lane on inside zone runs.
• Good receiver out of backfield, showed ball skills down the field.
• Caught 12-of-15 targets for 185 yards and two touchdowns when lined up in the slot.

Biggest concern:

• Did not cut back often on outside zone, almost too patient at times. Has the cutting ability to excel in one-cut scheme, however.
• Not great at picking up yards through contact. Some boom or bust to his game depending on quality of blocking.
• Had four fumbles on only 197 carries.

Player style comparison:

Dion Lewis, New England Patriots

Bottom line:

Dixon may not be an every-down back, but he can bring big-play potential as both a runner and as a receiver. He’s electric in the open field and can make plays when lined up as a receiver.
