  • The Dallas Cowboys used the 28th selection in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft to add Colorado defensive back Chidobe Awuzie.
  • Awuzie's 84.3 overall grade ranked second among Pac-12 CBs in 2015 and finished in the top five last season as well.
  • Over the past three years, Awuzie was targeted on 30 deep passes (20-plus yards in air) without giving up a touchdown.
  • Awuzie allowed a reception every 13.6 snaps in the slot, that was best among draft-eligible Pac-12 CBs.
  • Awuzie has generated 29 total pressures blitzing over the last two years, the most of any FBS CB.
  • Dallas lost both Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne at cornerback in free agency.
