  • Michigan senior QB Wilton Speight will enter the 2017 season looking up at other highly-touted quarterbacks expected to enter the 2018 NFL draft class. However, Speight is no slouch under center, as he ranked No. 2 in accuracy percentage while under pressure (62.3) among returning Power 5 quarterbacks with at least 100 pressured attempts last season.
  • Speight’s ability to deliver an accurate ball with defenders in his face has a positive impact on completion percentage in 2016, as he ranked No. 1 in adjusted completion percentage while under pressure among that same group of quarterbacks.
  • A former thee-star recruit, Speight earned an 81.4 passer rating while under pressure in 2016, ranking No. 5 among returning Power 5 quarterbacks with at least 100 pressured dropbacks in 2016.
