  • UCF LB Shaquem Griffin returns for his senior season as a PFF projected Day 2 selection while his twin brother, Shaquille Griffin, was drafted by Seattle in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft.
  • Having only one hand didn’t stop Shaquem from earning an 86.8 overall grade in 2016 – No. 6 among returning linebackers.
  • Griffin shines is in pass coverage – where he logged 228 snaps – often the demise of most linebackers. He earned a grade of 87.0 after collecting six pass defenses (No. 2 in the nation) and one interception.
  • Griffin is versatile as he rushed the passer 206 times in 2016. He picked up 12 sacks, five hits and 11 hurries.
  • The area Griffin can improve most is his tackling – understandably so – however, it doesn’t excuse the fact he had 13 missed tackles last year and ranked No. 175 among returning LBs with a 6.7 tackling efficiency.
