2018 Prospect Preview: Mike Weber returns as one of the Big 10’s most elusive

  • In his first year as the Buckeye’s go-to guy in the backfield, Ohio State redshirt sophomore RB Mike Weber put on a show in the open field. He forced 47 missed tackles, the most of any Big Ten running back with less than 240 carries in 2016.
  • At 6-foot-2, 227-pounds, Weber forced a missed tackle on 23.8 percent of his 182 carries, which ranked No. 9 among all draft-eligible running backs.
  • In addition to his ability to evade defenders, Weber flashed dominance on zone runs, as he was the highest-graded running back on zone runs in the country last season.
  • Posting a 75.8 elusive rating in 2016, Weber ranked No. 4 among draft-eligible Big Ten running backs with at least 150 carries.
