  • Southern Mississippi WR Allenzae Staggers was one of the best receivers outside of the Power 5 conferences last season. His impressive displays in conference USA has earned him a Day 3 draft projection from PFF.
  • Staggers flashed potential as a deep threat in 2016 as his 587 receiving yards on 12 deep receptions were the fourth-most by a draft-eligible wide receiver on deep passes. His catch rate of 57.1 percent on deep passes ranks second among returning receivers with at least 20 targets as he caught 12 of the 21 deep passes thrown his way.
  • Staggers also excelled when lined up in the slot last season. His 1,120 receiving yards from the slot ranks No. 3 among draft-eligible receivers. He was also efficient running routes from there, his 2.94 yards per route run were the second-most by a receiver in the draft class.
  • In 2016, Staggers had a passer rating of 126.1 when targeted with Nick Mullens throwing him the ball, fifth-best among retuning receivers. For the continued success of the offense Staggers must translate this level of production to his new quarterback.
