Buy Randall Cobb, sell David Johnson
There comes a point with certain players where you must accept defeat and admit that you were wrong on them. I was wrong on Devonta Freeman, and I am not ashamed to admit it.
The writing was not on the wall and there were no trends telling us that he was going to break out, he just did. Fortunately for us, that is a rare situation in fantasy football. We can typically see the signs from a player before they break out, and know that we are just waiting on their opportunity.
Our job in this weekly column is to grab those players just a moment before the other owner realizes what they have, and sell them one of the players that is producing way over what he rightfully should be.
While I have seen a lot of people tell others that you need to forget what happened last year, because we now have four games from THIS year. While yes, we have this year, we cannot simply just forget about what that player has done over a much larger sample size.
Calvin Johnson is a prime example of this. At just 29 years old, there are writers, analysts and fantasy football players everywhere questioning whether or not he is done. Without getting into much detail, the answer is no. Just watch what does against the Bears this weekend.
