Buy C.J. Anderson, sell Danny Woodhead
If you’re new here to my “Fantasy Stock Market” column that goes up weekly on Wednesday morning, I hope that the other owners in your league haven’t been here either. If they had, you would likely be without Stevie Johnson, Calvin Johnson and Donte Moncrief on your fantasy team. Instead, you’d have players like Joique Bell, Alfred Morris and Bishop Sankey on it.
This is not ideal for you. Luckily, you found your way to me and we are going to salvage your fantasy team.
Each and every week I will give you two or three players that you should sell while their market is at an all-time high, as well as two or three players that you need to get on your team before the stock price goes through the roof.
Right here last week, I told you to buy Calvin Johnson after people were questioning if he was done. He went off for 10 catches, 83 yards and a touchdown.
I also went on to tell you that no matter the cost, you need to get Donte Moncrief on your fantasy team. He also went off for 7 catches, 122 yards and a touchdown.
There were also a few players that I told you to sell on, and they panned out as well. Austin Seferian-Jenkins saw just three targets en route to a two catch, 29 yard performance. This just happens to be coincidence, but Seferian-Jenkins is now reportedly dealing with a shoulder issue that will cost him 4-6 weeks.
Another one of my sells was Bishop Sankey, who finished Week 2 with 12 carries for 42 yards and no touchdowns. Dexter McCluster led the team in rushing with 10 carries for 98 yards. Whisenhunt.
Am I saying that this will work out perfectly every week? No, but remember that we are buying these players at the cheapest they will likely be all season, so it’s not the biggest loss. We are going to hit more often that we will miss. So who are the guys that you should be buying and selling heading into Week 3?
