The Cincinnati Bengals have officially listed wide receiver A.J. Green as questionable on Friday’s injury report, but it appears he has a good shot of playing on Sunday after practicing all week, albeit on a limited basis.
Green is a large part of the offense in Cincinnati and had been particularly efficient to begin the year, before aggravating a toe injury during practice back in Week 6. He’s only had one drop on 23 targets for a 5.56 Drop Rate, and his 144.7 WR Rating is the second-best in the league. Green also leads all qualifying receivers with 3.53 Yards per Route Run; simply put, when he runs a route he tends to get open, and more often than not, he gets the ball.
Though they’ve been better in recent weeks, the match-up against the young secondary of Jacksonville looks to be a favorable one. With lead running back Giovani Bernard ruled out, Green should have plenty of opportunities in the passing game if he suits up as expected.
